Mabel's Birthday Dinner - The Clan

11.22PM/ I have a pocket of free time now while J occupies himself with soccer updates - Boys stuff I do not understand.

Caption for the above photo: True soulmates. We didn't plan on matching ok.

We gathered to celebrate Mabel's birthday at The Clan this evening!

A glance at the rather extensive 6-course dinner menu.

We paid about $210/couple after GST & that includes a bottle of red wine, 5 bottles of still water & 2 additional servings of bread sticks.

Seared scallops with compliments from the restaurant.
I'm a fan of scallop anything, so this came as a pleasant surprise ๐Ÿ˜‹

Super soft & creamy Chawanmushi, also with compliments from the restaurant

My choice of cold appetizer: Oysters, because most worth it ๐Ÿ˜… #Kiasu

Warm appetizers followed and the 2 most popular dishes we ordered are the Venus Clams & Foie Gras. The clams were fresh but I couldn't appreciate the Chorizo crumbs.

The soups came shortly after & I opted for the chicken consommรฉ.
So good I want more!! Tastes a little like Brands Chicken Essence.

J's Forest Mushroom Soup was simply bursting with crunch & flavour. YUMZ

I also really love how the chef put so much pride in making sure every dish looks like a piece of art ๐Ÿ˜

Apple shots to whet our appetite before the main course!

*Sizzzzzzle* The Wagyu Beef Short Ribs is their signature main dish and is served raw on a hot stone so we can cook the meats to our preferred doneness.

All of us opted for the beef while Alvin decided to try something else
& ordered the pork belly instead that was sooo much yum! I actually prefer this to the beef ๐Ÿค”

Pavlova

It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and if you're looking for places to hold birthday celebrations in larger groups, you can perhaps consider The Clan!

Happy birthday once again Mabs!
