Eating Around HK - Dayre 149

8.25AM/ Good morning! Lazing in bed for a bit before we get ready to head out for dim sum. Met up with some friends who happen to also be in HKG for dinner & drinks at LKF last night so I'm quite surprised my biological clock woke me up this early. More of last night's mayhem on snapchat!
Continuing from yesterday ~

๐Ÿ“Lan Fong Yuen

Spotted a queue at this ่Œถ้คๅŽ… while looking for PMQ yesterday and being typical Singaporeans, we joined the queue.

There is something about this old fashioned decor that I really like. #Onlyinhongkong
Amazing butter toast with kaya filling drizzled with honey. So good we ordered another one after this!
Pork chop bun that was bursting with flavour, YUMZ!
The couple sharing the table with us left so I immediately whipped out my camera and took a quick snap haha! First selfie in a sardine packed ่Œถ้คๅŽ… ๐Ÿ˜Œ

Our first ๅคงๆŽ’ๆกฃ experience and I think it'll be the last lol. It is too rowdy for our liking & although I can speak Cantonese, I can't read ็นไฝ“ so we had difficulties ordering.

Ghetto much? There were even people playing dice ๐Ÿ˜‚
Food was decent but this is my favourite! Perfect wok hei.
10.10AM/ Our room is so small we have to do everything on the bed lol! The ledge to the side of our bed has turned into my vanity "table" this morning.
Tsui Hang Village ็ฟ ไบจ้‚จ
2/F, New World Tower, 16-18 Queen's Rd C
12.35PM/ Having lunch here today! While waiting for our friends to come J ordered a bowl of ่Žฒ่—•ๆฑค for me because he was worried I'll be hungry. Always so sweet & attentive like that, this boy ๐Ÿ’˜
๐Ÿ“Tai Cheong Bakery

Just minutes walk away from our hotel. Glad we chose to stay at Central this time because there are so many good eateries around here!

Not bad but I don't understand the queue back home.
6.30PM/ It's raining so we're stuck in our room. I'm editing photos on my phone while J is researching for KL ๐Ÿค—

Today's #HHootd consists of a cold shoulder top, cotton pants & white sneakers.

I did a sketch of this top with my inadequate drawing skills but surprisingly our manufacturer fully understood me! The sample came out just as I had visioned it to be and was quickly sent in for production. Submission of design until the day I received the goods only took slightly more than 3 weeks!
Exploring the hidden alleyways of HKG.

Vintage barber shop that we only see in movies.

Climbed endless steps today
Kau Kee Restaurant (ไน่จ˜็‰›่…ฉ)
21 Gough St
Dinner tonight at Kau Kee was pretty good and I'm kicking myself for not finding out about it earlier! The beef broth was really sweet & tasty! Not to mention the beef brisket that was extremely soft & tender ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ’ฆ

I've always had a poor opinion of beef brisket noodles because the one I tried in Taiwan had a strong gamey taste that I hate but thanks to Kau Kee I'm changing my mind!

After dinner, we walked over to ็Ž‰ๅถ็”œๅ“ for dessert as recommended on the Internet but we were greeted by a disgruntled old lady ๐Ÿ˜ช That aside, after we were seated, we spotted 2 cockroaches on our table and they were HUGE omg. That was the last straw, we decided to go elsewhere & ended up with an ice-cream instead.
