I've been to Macao 3 times, twice on a day trip from Hong Kong and once on a 2N stay at The Venetian. The Venetian is one of the prettiest hotels I've stayed at.
Modelled after its namesake, it features stunning icons of Venice.

Every corner is photo worthy.

Definitely not missing out on the gondola ride.

One of the must eat whenever I'm in Macao - Portuguese Egg Tarts from Lord Stow!!
The flaky pastry has a fragrant buttery taste and the custard is incredibly rich and sweet.

You can get this at The Venetian or get it from their original store at Coloane Town Square, 1 Rua do Tassara.

Opening hours:
Mon - Sun 7AM to 10PM

Another favourite, pork chop buns.

That is available everywhere!

Senado Square is a public square and is on the UNESCO's world's heritage list as it forms part of the Historic Centre of Macao. We spent a day there exploring the shops, taking photos and trying out all the street food.

Love these waved pattern mosaic that is paved all around by the Portuguese back in the early 1990s.

The structures around the Senado Square have many western features and has been well preserved by the authorities.
Classic example of east meets west.

No trip to Macao will be complete without a visit to the Ruins of St.Paul and it is one of the most visited attraction in Macao.

I got to know about Studio City thanks to the press release from the Macao Government Tourism Office and I already can't wait to plan a visit there!

Studio City is set against a backdrop of magnificent architecture and is a cinema themed resort. The two tower hotel houses electrifying entertainment venues for world class performances, a global variety of dining selections, luxurious shopping outlets and spectacular gaming areas designed to bring your wildest imagination to life.

What drawn my attention the most is the Golden Reel that is suspended between the twin hotel towers at a height of 130m. It is also the world's first figure 8 ferris wheel.

It features 17 "Steampunk" themed cabins that can each hold 10 passengers on a memorable ride around the uniquely shaped figure 8 track. While on board, we can admire the breathtaking views of the city at various angles.

Opening hours:
Mon - Fri 11AM to 9PM
Sat, Sun & PH 10AM to 10PM

In partnership with Warner Bros. and DC entertainment, "Batman Dark Flight" is the world's first flight simulation ride themed around DC Comic Super Heroes - Batman.

Immersed in the flying theatre, adventure seekers can virtually soar over Gotham City with Batman through the action packed storyline - How amazing is this?! Enhanced with the latest in-flight simulation technology coupled with the best audio design and visual graphics, "Batman Dark Flight" provides a whole new level of super heroic entertainment.

Opening hours:
Mon - Fri 12PM to 8PM
Sat, Sun & PH 11AM to 9PM

Nam Van Lake

Nam Van Lake is a new landmark for leisure, culture and creativity and is recently (3rd June) officially opened to the public! The scenic view is refreshing and pedal boats are available for visitors to enjoy a ride at the lake.

I especially like the cultural and creative element injected into this new space!
The Nam Van Lake is equipped with cultural and creative stores, arts pavilion, indoor craft market and book market, handcraft workshops and craft market on weekends as well as graffiti display area and more. Cultural and creative products imbued with Macao's unique character are on display and on sale which makes a convenient stop-off for residents visitors to discover local gems.
